Central Equipment exists to serve the needs of ranchers, farmers, hobbyists and industry in the BC interior by providing affordable solutions to the ever rising costs of equipment and maintenance. Whether your need is the fuel efficiency and ease of operation of today's new equipment or keeping that 50 year old tractor moving across the field, we are your one stop shop. Our parts department can provide parts for all the popular brands as well as the newer arrivals to the Canadian market, such as Jinma from China and Mahindra from India. We carry a large inventory of used tractors and equipment, from the "mechanic's specials" to the reconditioned and field ready.

Founded in 1967 in Williams Lake BC as Lake City Central Equipment. Started the Kamloops store in 1995 as an independent operation. Opened the Vanderhoof location in 2000 as a satellite store to the Williams lake operation.
Founded by Brian Roberts (Feb 29, 1936 - June 8, 2013) and operated by him until his passing. Brian brought with him over a half a century of experience in the ag equipment industry. He started out working on his uncles' farms in Agassiz as a kid in the 1950's then went to work for Butler Bros. Supplies assembling new machinery and working in the parts department. Before long he had become a salesman, traveling to farms and ranches throughout the lower mainland and southern interior of BC. In 1967 he became the principal and dealer with the opening of Lake City Central Equipment in Williams Lake. In his time there and here in Kamloops he has represented most of the major manufacturers, Ford, New Holland, Case, International Harvester, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, David Brown, Landini, Universal, Jinma, Foton, Hesston, Braber, Westward, Farm King, Flexicoil, Leon, Brillion, Howard and others at one time or another. Greatly missed but we carry on to honour his legacy.
Richard Partington (ret'd) headed up the Parts Department. Richard has been involved in the parts business since 1965 in a variety of industries, starting with the automotive sector. He came to Kamloops in 1977 working in the off highway and moved into the ag industry in 2000. Richard has developed an extensive network of suppliers for new and used parts, enabling him to source parts for everything from that near new tractor to that obsolete old sickle mower.
Storm (ret'd) hired on as our resident mouser, however he failed to show aptitude in that department. In a fashion seldom seen outside of government he was then promoted to the position of senior paper weight. He has shown tremendous proficiency in that department as not a single piece of paper has gone missing from the box you see him sitting in since he took over.
Steve Garner rounds out the staff with duties in the service dept. He has held an Inter Provincial Journeyman's Certificate as a mechanic since 1978. His automotive background provided a good basis and insight into the use of computers in today's industrial and agricultural equipment.
